Review on Boys' Dress Pants by Spring Notion with Flat Front by Alex Cassanova

I'm really confused by how people comment that these pants are too big. The waist measurements in the provided size chart appear to be completely inaccurate. Size 18 months should have a waist of 19.5 inches but I measured 15 inches (PHOTO 1) Size 24 months should have a waist of 19.5 inches (why is it the same as 18 m?) but I have 17 Measured in inches (PHOTO 2 ). Even allowing for a 1/2 inch error, the waist measurement is nowhere near what it is. I compared these 18m pants to other pants my child wears and they were nothing compared to them. Too bad because my kid needs dress pants for an event ASAP and they look really good but the size is just wrong.
