Don't expect it to shine immediately after plugging it in for the first time. It was a low-contrast "fog". You need to calibrate it. Next you need to calibrate it differently depending on the connection you are using. But when it was finished, this monitor definitely lived up to my skeptical expectations. - The case/stand is magnetic so it is easy to attach/detach when you want the monitor to be caseless. - The image is almost the same brightness as my main laptop screen and almost invisible. However, again, you'll need to make some adjustments to get it there, and it depends on what connection you're using. USB seems more flexible than ever and you need to use an extra USB power cord. It also works without it, but not as brightly. In terms of quality, it's hard to believe that this is a USB screen. The "graininess" you usually see on USB monitors is almost gone. The color scheme looks as advertised and I have no problem editing video with decent color grading. go, but I didn't notice anything. Two of these were successfully connected to the Macbook Pro via USB-C to extend the desktop (3 distinct screens). Can be connected via HDMI (with or without HDMI hub) for main screen / 1 extended / 1 mirror display. Pros: VESA mount option. Easier than expected. The OSD isn't catastrophically complicated or annoying. Cons: The included USB power cable can be longer. (just substitute your own). - The menu interface toggle wheel feels a bit weak. - The OSD is missing some extra features that you probably don't care about anyway. Problems - take care of them. Like all portable monitors, these things aren't indestructible. They're actually (for obvious reasons) a bit fragile. If you think it could be placed in a harsh shipping environment, consider adding more protection beyond the included cover. Requests - Rear connectors so you can align these flush with another screen. Now the cables can get in the way. At least they are all on the same page. Documentation could be better. Many of the hints/tips in the questions and answers here should be found in the FAQ section of the manual or online. Final Thoughts If you're hesitating between this and a 1080 USB monitor. Rest assured, if your computer can handle a 2k external monitor, this is the right choice. Its size and image quality make it a winner. You will appreciate the extra space it offers.
