Great System - Computers and Accessories

I live on an island in rural Iowa. I'm surrounded by a rural phone company but have stuck with Century Link as my phone provider. They don't offer high speed internet and will never be in my house. The rural phone company even has fiber, but I'm 1/2 mile from their service area. I saw this product a few years ago but at the time it was out of my reach for the price. I settled on an ISP that gave me 20MB at best, and usually around 4 when it worked. Three weeks ago it became unacceptable. We used our cellular data. I came across this product at Newegg last week, but it was a first generation 100Mbps product. I did a search and found that the Gen 2 device is rated for over 450Mbps, costs $7 more, and includes surge protection. I emailed the rural phone company and they agreed to sell me the service if I could find a neighbor to set up the antenna for me. I found 3, end up giving my neighbor a Case of Coors light every month for using their electricity and TV tower. The system arrived and I tried to set it up in my living room using a YouTube video. I was very angry. I put everything in a box and throw it away for the evening. I got up around 2am and decided to try again. I'm rethinking the whole process. I downloaded the application, connected both antennas and literally in 3 minutes everything was ready! On the same day, the telephone company approached the neighbors and cut the connection. I climbed the tower and installed the antenna. I used the app to set up alignment with my phone. 320 Mbit/s up and 130 Mbit/s down. My new fiber optic connection has 50 Mbit/s. I have the option to increase the channel speed to 200 Mbps. Distance between antennas 1 mile. I recommend installing it on the floor first and avoiding youtube videos.

Cons
