Secure but uncomfortable best-of car mounts

This is a solid mount for the Varia, but as one or two people have pointed out, it doesn't offer enough clearance when you need to mount it low on the seatpost for Seat post clamps. I tried twisting the clip onto the stud from the front, which looked silly, but it still didn't work. So it doesn't fit my setup. I've been struggling with different mounting options for my Varia. I ride a carbon fiber endurance bike that was installed by a pro. My seatpost sticks out about 7-8 inches from the seat tube, and once I mount the saddlebag (I use a very small Topeak clamp now, but I've tried a few others) there really isn't much room for the Garmin mount. I can add a Garmin rubber strap mount under the seat yoke on the seat tube itself, which seems fine if I'm willing to live with a so-so rubber strap, but I also seem to get some radar noise from the rear, as the Varia is a little low. I also looked at some GoPro metal clips I could use to mount the Varia to the seat rails, but they also got in the way of my saddlebag. No no, I'm still looking for the best mounting option.
