I bought this 2mm OL hair clipper as a full replacement for a borrowed set that broke in my hands. They had the same defect, which I didn't find unusual in these clippers. That is, the plastic neck snaps into the head of the device. I used these wire cutters to cut cardboard game pieces (common size of GMT games) as advertised. As with other users, the device has processed about 3000 counters since the failure (about a month ago). Since I borrowed them *and* knew other people had issues with them, I figured I'd be careful with my use. That means I didn't use excessive force and didn't compress them to their full length. I would push until it breaks the corner of the cardboard and then stops. In this sense, I can only say that the device is not designed for heavy use and is not really intended for serious hobby gamers, even as advertised. That's a bad estimate because it's pretty good from a functional point of view. It was easy to use, left a nice shape, and seemed quite comfortable. The problem is that each hit stops the device without warning. I can not stand. Either the price should drop sharply or OL will have to redo the bar.
