not worth the effort

after 5 uses the "automatic" part stopped working. I bought one here and one from Woodpeck.com and they both did the same thing. I'm staying with Starrett. I tend to get more out of them.

Pros
  • amazing
Cons
  • little things

Slightly sticky for power tools and hand tools

Mine binds a little, couldn't get free every few uses so I put some graphite grease in and it's fine now. Be very careful when taking it apart - the spring loaded parts will fly out and need to be put back in the correct order and orientation. The attached image can serve as a guide for proper assembly.

Spring return random performance

This is a very useful tool. I can't believe I waited so long to buy it. I've been using this for many months now. The problem that initially existed was the accidental execution of a spring return. You'll have to fiddle with the end of the punch to get the spring back in its original position. Next time I will consider a different brand.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything

Excellent automatic center Puch

This is the second machine I have bought in the last 8 years. I use it at work to install steel pins in Inconel engine parts. This tool is the only one I've found that has the clout to get the job done. I also use it to crack broken carbide tools to salvage a piece from a trash can. If you're looking for a good center hit, then this tool is for you.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • poorly thought out

. Auto punches fairly light hit and hit compared to a hammer

Auto punches fairly light hit compared to a hammer but it gets the job done. I like to use it to start a mid shot before finishing it with a big hand shot. It's something of a pilot compared to a traditional pilot, and not having a hammer allows for more precise placement in certain situations. Also, I found it to be a great tool for removing small amounts of epoxy. If an impact is initiated, the cured epoxy will tend to shatter on impact. Sometimes it takes a few hits. Please note that this…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Poorly designed and poorly manufactured tool

I used to buy Lisle brand spring stamps and have been quite happy with them. Aside from the brand name and the visual similarity in size and color, this instrument is unlike anything I've bought before. The top of the tool had a ridge along the edge so you can't comfortably press it with your palm like you have to. do to work with one hand. After 3 hits of the punch it jammed and stopped working. After disassembling it to clear the jam, he landed 2-3 hits ahead of the next jam. I was able to…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Upgradeable

This is the most cost effective punch you will ever find.

Don't expect $100 or more quality here. It took several minutes for this and that to have an impressive effect. This is the same tool I've been buying from US General for years. These tools rarely work without fine-tuning. To do this, it was necessary to forcefully loosen the adjustment nut and then pivot the pin so that it clicks. on prints that are not watchmaker precision, but you don't pay a 5-figure amount for that either. If you need accuracy within 0.01 inch, this tool can do it for you…

  • Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Ideal for marking and drilling holes.

I use them to mark holes in aluminum and fiberglass. I use a paper template for mounting electronic devices and mark the drilling points with a hole punch. I can remove and reuse these templates because they make a very small hole in the paper. You must be careful to reduce the impact force when stamping gel coated fiberglass as the gel coating can chip off. It leaves a small indentation in the material and when drilling, the drill does not go through the material. It's a tiny hole, but it even

Both shots work well. Bought because my husband loaned me too much and if one day it happens mine won't be there when I want it and could be told it was never mine. After 47 years of marriage I know the routine when I'm not dancing here so this year he got two hits for his BD. And he likes both. I'm not glad he flipped that over to display on the marble kitchen table. I screamed NO NO but he ignored it and did it anyway. Yes, there was a thin piece of cardboard underneath, but I knew the thing…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
