Very good metal stamp!

This set of rock drill bits was perfect for my needs. I use it to pierce some old metal rivets and buttons and it works like a charm with almost no effort. Previously I used a drill to remove the buttons and rivets which took about 2 minutes each with the risk of damaging the item. Now it takes about 20 seconds and works without any problems. I've used it about 30 times and every time it stings like the metal is oil.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some little things

Cuts soft rubber cleanly

I have an inexpensive lightbar on my Toyota that started leaking moisture into the light this winter. at the bottom of the lantern allowed the moisture to evaporate, allowing my inexpensive spotlight to continue working. The machine is heavy duty, easily replaces the die and I was amazed at how cleanly it punched through soft material without pulling it into the die.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Excellent product for punching holes in sheet metal.

A little awkward at first but after I figured out how to change attachments it performs very well. I tested it on 22 gauge sheet copper just to try it out and am very happy to use it on my projects. It cuts very well, leaves no burrs and I also have a small copper point that I can use for something else. So you can use it to make holes and also cut out small circles for things. (I thought it would be a nice bonus). There are 7 hole sizes you can make.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Better Than Drilling

Overall: Punch is excellent for punching 18 gauge steel or thinner, better than drilling. The tool feels sturdy due to the weight and design of the tool. Definitely recommend this for thinner steel. Details: The tool works well when piercing 18 gauge black steel, but doesn't work at all when piercing 16 gauge steel, just making dimples in the steel no matter how hard you push. Punch exactly where I marked on the steel. The hole is clean after punching, very little if any deburring is required.

Pros
  • Confident

  • High Price

Makes stamping easier

This is a great tool for those who are interested in jewelry or have other metal stamping needs and desires. You will be provided with different stamps and instructions showing you how to remove and install the different parts of the stamp. Each part of the punch consists of 2 parts - the actual stamping part (male) and then (female) the sleeve that the punch goes through. Just make sure you line up the die cuts where you want them and read the instructions to understand how to set the die…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home

You are only as good as your instruments.

I don't know why I waited so long to buy? I only had this hit for about 20 minutes. I was so excited to try it that as soon as it was delivered I ripped it up, put it back together and tried it out. I use this on .019" thick aluminum that I can cut by hand. So no super thought out materials, but it does a nice clean and quick job of punching a hole in it. It took me a few minutes to insert the right size pin and puncture 10 panels accurately. The only wish is that it has a desktop stand. I have

Very durable tool for power tools and hand tools

I will use this tool to punch small holes in the jewelry I make. I was pleasantly surprised by the reliability of the tool. Punches very easily and evenly, without burrs. A little heavy but manageable. I usually use 20 gauge copper and I did some holes with two layers of metal together and everything worked fine. I wish the instructions were a little clearer (there weren't that many instructions). I should have just found out for myself. Also, it's a bit tricky to make a hole in a very precise…

Wow, works as described, clean stamp

I've only used a 3mm punch so far, but it's very impressive: I punch holes in both 36 gauge aluminum and 36 gauge brass. Some punches don't pierce brass at all, and all other punches I've tried left burrs on the back of the hole. This stamp leaves an absolutely clean hole. The tongs are large, too big for my hand, so I either have to use them with two hands when the sheet metal can be held in a vise or clamp, or when I need to lie on my side on a work surface when I need to hold it a small…

  • Delivery was very quick

Another Chinese copy of Roper Whitney.

At 1/3 the price of an official Roper Whitney genuine tool I think this tool will work. All of these types of punches share a common characteristic: a certain amount of free play or "gap" between the moving part of the punch and the hole in which it must slide. In order for the punch to be able to drill clean holes in thinner materials, there must be an absolute minimum distance between the punch tip and the tip holder. However, if the sliding stamp wobbles back and forth too much, the gap…
