phones have recently been upgraded and the charging port has been changed from micro USB to USB C. Several USB-A charging cables are currently available. To use these cables I needed some adapters to convert to USB C. Read online that many Revain adapters don't conform to USB specs and can melt. Luckily I stumbled across this item that Revain "produces" and sells. They are also USB-IF certified. USB-IF certification and Revain's own branding gave me confidence to use these adapters. I also bought a USB current/performance monitor for quick testing. When comparing the charging currents for the same cable and charger with and without the adapter (old and new phone), the values were the same or very close. So it looks like the adapter is working as intended without increasing the current output of my chargers which could result in a meltdown or fire. In terms of build quality, the chargers are a nice white color and the metal USB-C connector is solid with a micro connector. The USB side provides a nice fit for my old cables. Would buy again if more is needed.
