My husband put this from our filter in the fridge. Our filtered dishwater tastes great, but ice tastes like sulfur. I was told there was still something in the fridge that needed changing, but we never worried. I only make ice in trays and do not use an ice maker or water dispenser. So for us it was a waste of money. If we'd bothered to do more, I'm sure we would have found that this line isn't the problem. That's exactly what he says. I think there is something else besides this line that can improve the taste of ice cream. UPDATE: Since the system was easy to install, I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars. The problem with the taste of our ice cream does not seem to be related to the function of the unit, but to something else in the fridge that needs replacing. I've never come across this but was told it might be due to the age of our fridge and its construction. So I don't blame the sanitary block at all.
