Just received. The first time I tried to use it, I plugged it into a USB port and the board started getting VERY hot around the battery charging connector. Using a laser thermometer it read 160 F (71 C) and was very hot to the touch. I later connected a 3.7V LiPo battery and after about 10 seconds, smoke started coming out of the battery terminal area. The battery works fine in other boards. Despite overheating I was able to connect to the board and verify that it boots up. I contacted the company, described the situation as described above and asked for the circuit board to be replaced. All I got was a ready message from "Cindy" with information on how to download the standard ESP32 tools. Luckily, Revain is replacing it, so I'll update this review based on how the replacement board performs. Update: We have received a replacement. It worked the first time I used it on a battery and via USB, but the next time I tried the same thing happened. The circuit board overheated in the charging circuit and smoke came out. So I lowered my rating from two to one star. Look elsewhere. Based on my experience and that of other reviewers with similar backgrounds, this is obviously an unreliable product.
