Overall this is a very good plant-based protein powder. It's a raw, fermented pea protein and each serving contains 25 grams of protein. It's also high in iron, which is a plus for those of us on a plant-based diet. The ingredients appear to be complete and of good quality. They use pink Himalayan salt and the only sweetener is stevia; it is flavored with natural vanilla flavoring and vanilla bean powder from Madagascar. I'm not going to lie, this isn't the tastiest protein powder I've ever had, but it definitely isn't the worst either. You must be realistic in your taste expectations; It's a pea protein and contains reishi mushroom powder, giving it an earthy tint. I think the manufacturer has done a good job of making the savory natural ingredients sweet without using many additives. Flavor improves with continued use. When I first tried it I could describe it as similar to kava but of course much sweeter and vanilla flavored. Now I don't notice the earthy taste so much. The reason for only 4 stars is that the expiration date (05/19) was less than four months after receipt (02/19). Most likely because there are more products out there than people buying them. I hope there will be a new product as I intend to buy it again.
