Review on πŸ” WirthCo 32410 Funnel King - 1" Thread Polyethylene Drum Funnel: 3 Quart Capacity, 1” Thread by Chris Drury

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The bottom hole is only 1 inch and the product consists of 2 parts.

I bought a keg funnel because I wanted a funnel with a large threaded opening. The funnel was fine. This is a cheap cast with few surface defects. Injection Molding The tooling used to make the funnel is in pretty bad shape. Inside the funnel is a 3mm 360 degree protrusion. I do not know why. a plain polyethylene funnel and a 2" to 1" NPT thread reducing sleeve. A black plastic fitting is pressed into the bottom of a straight funnel to "thread" it. at the base of a suitable guard, which snags at the bottom of the hopper and drips out of the hopper. I wanted a 2 inch hole as shown in the picture. I had to heat the funnel and thermoform the hole into a 2" ID and a 40 2" OD tube. I threw away the cheap plastic parts. I bought a new ABS 2"NPT to 2" ferrule adapter ($2.00) and glued the fitting to the modified funnel. I now have a $14.00 quart polyethylene funnel with a true 2" NPT fitting, but I had to rebuild it. ---Note added---I bought a second funnel and also modified it.---I hate this funnel as it is. But I expected that he would disappoint me. It was the right raw material for me to make a true 3 liter funnel with a 2" outlet and a 2" NPT connection. Okay, so this is a 3 quart build. It consists of two parts. Lower opening 1 inch. Diameter The connection between the two parts is leaky due to the construction.
