I'm disappointed in myself for trying to go down the cheap route with a leather butt. These punches are WAY too small and I could barely hold them with two fingers and my thumb to hit them. This means I run the risk of either injuring my finger trying to hold it with multiple fingers, or getting an unstable hold trying to cut my end. On top of that the edge was not very smooth and was a bit serrated and I thought I should return it. If you are using very light ounces of leather these may work for you. However, if like me you use 5 ounce or heavier leather, don't waste your time.
