Review on Metal Earth Set: Clipper, Flat Nose Pliers, Needle Nose Pliers - 3 Essential Tools by Angelo Forrest

Great starter kit - even better with a few tweaks!

This is my first review but I will try to make it quick and clear. This set costs a little over $10, right? Keep this in mind. I stumbled on metal floor and quickly fell in love! Honestly this is a decent starter kit. In fact, I use them most of the time in my 20+ models. That being said - yes, other reviews claim that the tools are not 100% accurate to work with each other. If you buy another set in this price range then this set will look great. Seriously, I know. In the near future I will write a review about what didn't work. So in my opinion this is a small problem, especially compared to others. I would recommend them to any Metal Earth lovers just starting out. The set I received was fairly well aligned, although some gaps were visible in the light. BUT that was NOT a problem. For the price - go for it. You'll probably spend more on a hobby pair of pliers if you customize a set like this. Additionally, if you can extract the bonus commentary, you'll find that even in the $20 price range, there's still a lot on offer. BONUS COMMENT: If for some reason you find that straightening your pliers is unbearable... Grab a hand-held rotary tool (aka Dremel). or, if you're on a budget, some Knock and Chord is probably cheaper. There are also two differing opinions about a battery power cable no matter what your boat floats). In any case, use this tool carefully on a flat surface - with proper protection and what not - to manipulate the pliers to squeeze them tighter... Or even sharpen the tool to cut dirt. And only if you're picky like me.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
