Great refracting telescope for beginners

When I was growing up, Meade and Celestron were big telescope manufacturers and I still think they make great products. But to be honest, there are now also lesser-known bands that hit the ground running with a similar look at a lower price. A few years ago I had a $3,000 Celestron computer and while the picture quality was amazing, it was so much work that in two or three years I think I've used it twice. So much time was spent undressing and setting up. I'm older and more interested in small handheld telescopes. This is one of two telescopes I picked up recently. One for me (a white refractor for me) and the other (this is Maksutov-Cassegrain) for my son. The set was very well packaged and well protected. Installation was easy. Many telescopes come with tripods that are annoyingly poor quality. This one, on the other hand, was a real surprise. This is a great camera tripod with detachable mounting plate, durable and fully adjustable. This is a very good tripod. The telescope looks and feels good. It feels solid, focus adjustment is smooth, and the surface of the telescope tube itself is matte, with putty color and texture. The image quality of the telescope is excellent. Sufficient for a start view, of course. I think it would be a great ground telescope for bird watching and also a very good tool to get adults or kids interested in astronomy. An adapter is included to make it easy to connect your cellphone to the telescope. I wish the clamp was just spring loaded, but you're more likely to screw it in to tighten or unscrew it to loosen. This is a very, very small complaint because the fact that this device is even powered on is wonderful. Getting everything perfectly aligned is frankly tricky, but that's not the kit's fault - it's just a matter of precision and everything has to be just right. sunny day at a distance of 93 yards or 85 meters. This can give you an idea of what the sharpness looks like. A great telescope for beginners and I can only recommend it. Not only will I be using the telescope for observing the moon and some of the more prominent planets, I will definitely be using a tripod separately for photography and video as it is a great tripod on its own. Have fun stargazing!
