I bought this dog to cut cheese (Swiss) for a party. I read the instructions, assembled all parts correctly, connected them and started cutting. At the end of the short block (about twenty slices) I turned off the slicer and wrapped the cheese. I placed another short block of the same size on the planer and turned it on. Nothing has happened. I checked the fuse and found that it blew when it was turned off. I replaced it with an extra fuse designed just for such an emergency. It worked again and at the end of that block I turned it off and wrapped the cheese. I put another block on the slicer and turned it on. Nothing has happened. I checked the fuse with a continuity tester and found that it was blown even when it was off. I am now the proud owner of a $160 book. If I don't find a suitable fuse tomorrow, it will be sent back and I do not recommend anyone to buy this junk for money. I hate thinking about what would happen if I cut meat. Oh my God! This is bad engineering at its finest.
