Buy if you want meat is over $50 a pound

Waste of money. This product is designed to fail after a few uses. It uses a plastic gear that meshes with a metal pivot rod, and after a few uses the metal will corrode the plastic gear teeth. Also, I can't find repair manuals anywhere, and most replacement parts are constantly out of stock. I've only used it maybe 3-4 times at different intervals and it's already dead to me. I only cut about 3-4 pounds of meat and it's already dead. I figured it would save me money if I bought $4-5 a pound of

Junk in electric slicers

I bought this dog to cut cheese (Swiss) for a party. I read the instructions, assembled all parts correctly, connected them and started cutting. At the end of the short block (about twenty slices) I turned off the slicer and wrapped the cheese. I placed another short block of the same size on the planer and turned it on. Nothing has happened. I checked the fuse and found that it blew when it was turned off. I replaced it with an extra fuse designed just for such an emergency. It worked again…

A little disappointed

My previous slicer had a very easy to detach cleaning blade - accessing this blade is a little trickier. Also, I don't like that the serving is slightly tilted so the slices fall to the side - I would have liked a smooth serving. Finally, the power button is not integrated into the slice width adjustment mechanism like it was on my previous slicer. Therefore, I find it ergonomically awkward to use. Another small problem is that when you push an object through the blade, it separates from the…

Inaccuracy due to ramp curvature and blade movement

We already had a meat grinder, but we were disappointed that it couldn't cut food REALLY thin, especially for Japanese shabu-shabu. I researched on the internet and saw that this model was recommended more than once specifically for cutting shabu-shabu, so I bought it for my wife's birthday. It's a "good" slicer, but not really better than the cheaper one I already had. The blade is easy to adjust with a stepless adjustment knob, so you can choose any thickness you want. The problem, however…

Solid entry-level food slicer

Nearly 1500 reviews so I don't think my stack will add much. I should note that I bought it on sale for $100 - not sure I would pay more for it. However, I will say a few things. First, it won't cut the tape thin. I suppose you can do many things described in other reviews but to be honest I think it's a waste of time and extra money. It's just not the same car. If you really want this kind of result, you have to think about spending more money. Check out the leftover meat at the deli counter -
