My previous slicer had a very easy to detach cleaning blade - accessing this blade is a little trickier. Also, I don't like that the serving is slightly tilted so the slices fall to the side - I would have liked a smooth serving. Finally, the power button is not integrated into the slice width adjustment mechanism like it was on my previous slicer. Therefore, I find it ergonomically awkward to use. Another small problem is that when you push an object through the blade, it separates from the body of what you're cutting too wide. I find it difficult to get even slices of bread and some crunchy veggies like onions if you try to slice them too thick they break in two. Update March 13th. The engine just died in the middle of the bulb and nothing else will start. I checked the power supply and there is no problem. Took every 2 months. Now I'm more than "a little" disappointed and definitely want my old food slicer back. I use the slicer for vegetables and bread, but not for meat. If you're looking for a meat grinder that cuts meat well, this one will probably suit you and you won't have any complaints.
