Review on πŸ”Œ The Ultimate PAC RP4.2-TY11 Radiopro4 Ty11: Unveiling Seamless Integration by Ray Cole

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works like a charm. Good for automotive electronics accessories

Works as advertised. I even bought my 'used' one from Revain for a fraction of the price and it arrived in its original packaging, practically an open box. Model PAC RP4.2-TY11 Radiopro4 Ty11. My application for a 2005 Toyota Solara with factory amp from JBL. I chose this model's wiring harness because it contains the connections for the steering wheel controls and fader. The wiring looks intimidating at first glance. The 4 page guide will walk you through this, but it looks like it was written by a professional installer as an audience. A few tips: ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR THIS INSTALLATION. The day before installation, familiarize yourself with all of the harness terminals (they are labeled) and read each word of the instructions over and over until you fully understand them. They are detailed and somewhat complex. But it can be done. Call PAC Technical Support if something is not clear. There are a few unused terminals that you will need to insulate (I used heat shrink tubing, but duct tape will do). Allow at least 1 hour to connect the wires from this harness to the harness that came with your radio (I used Posi-Products reusable screw quick connectors and highly recommend them). During installation, test each function before reassembling the dashboard. In fact, installing it in the car was the easy part. I'm 51 and this was my first install since the 1980's. I took it off, you can too.
