Review on 🚰 T9351 Valve Diverter Valve: Unveiling its Unbeatable Advantages by Mark Marcellus

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Holy cow, what a great update!

I initially installed this on my MKV GTI. First, the ease of installation on the diverter valve is a solid 10/10. You literally do not need any tools to install it on the diverter valve (other than taking it off and placing it on the turbine) but it is STRONGLY recommended to lubricate all metal parts to keep this upgrade running smoothly. It took me about 30 minutes to get everything done, so even the most inexperienced technicians and DIYers shouldn't take a minute longer than an hour MAXIMUM. *Note* The manual says it may or may not snap when fitted onto the bypass valve, this changes the bypass valve to a bypass valve and makes no difference anyway as it bolts to the turbine (although mine snapped). The build quality is first class. It's lightweight but very carefully assembled, which for the price of the 3D version's switching valves itself, I'm glad it is. Now here is the part that interests you. Drive? My god, what's the difference. If you know anything about the D-version reversing valve, you know that it is essentially an on/off switch with no progressive motion. It releases most of the boost almost instantly, but what if your spacer gets drained? Forget it. Personally, you will feel the difference when you switch from a flush seal to this one. Improved throttle response is 100% warranted, but what about predictability? Oh god, that's great. Now it feels almost as predictable as a North American car, and I no longer feel the occasional burst of acceleration or loss of power. Normal driving feels fantastic and gear changes feel smoother. Going in feels great like you got power with this simple mod and the boost is almost always available now. There's a chance my MPGs went up too, but right now I'm too busy having fun and loving my car after giving it up I don't know. Although I will say that even with my needless random deadlifts, running at 140+ speeds, and almost never letting go because it's fun, I will say that my range seems to have stayed the same, if not increased slightly, so can I don't imagine that once I get used to it and slow down. One thing I would like to say is that the price of $150 ($120 on sale) is a bit high in my opinion. While this is certainly a great product and I don't exactly regret the money spent, I would probably rate it a lot better if I had spent a little less on it. Overall this is a must have for those with a VAG bypass valve.
