Review on 🚙 1983-1988 Jeep Wrangler Wagoneer BBD 6 CYL 4.2L 258 CJ5 Automatic Electric Choke Carburetor Upgrade - Compatible with New 2 Barrel Model by Ryan Hill

This is a complete unit, nice and new. The engine started after the fuel pressure increased. I have other engine problems but the replacement carb works fine. This was carried over to the jeep cj5 with a 258 straight-six engine. I believe this was my best option in terms of replacement, price and quality. It performs well and costs a lot less money than other carburetors from other manufacturers. I'm happy with my choice and I'm sure everything will be fine once the other engine issues are resolved. The replacement ignition coil arrived today from Revain (durable backbone) so that helps if the spark plugs get fouled. Now I can get the idle mixtures right with the best spark. Good carbs for the price. It works well. Not much more money than a repair kit and spare parts. Update: I did some tweaking on a 258 AMC I6 on my 1980 Jeep CJ5. Have adjusted the idle mixture and throttled the idle and am happy to report that the engine runs well. New ignition coil, spark plugs, cap and slider (still awaiting ignition wire). The initial timing is also right. Haven't decided yet how I want to set up the fast idle, but over time I will. Very happy with this carburetor. All throttle linkages are tuned and delivered. Easily installed, no gas adjustment required. That's a blessing. As with any other carburetor, be sure to check your idle mixture setting as it will always change with every adjustment on every engine. It works well. My father compliments the installation of this carburetor but he did nothing. So I know it's a good carburetor. Very happy with this seller, thank you for a quality product.
