Made a 5.4 3v cam phaser with this tool. The valve spring compressor is too short. There was also a crack in the casting half the width of a penny. It was too short to tighten the valve. I twisted it and bent it badly and it helped, but not well enough to use properly. As a result, he pulled out and reinserted the cams and also made the timing chains, while fitting all the rockers instead. Manually locking the camshafts and slowly tightening the caps was much easier than using this tool. Also, the crank position tool was off by over an hour, and I noticed that by the end as well. Relying on that could cost you a motor.
