Review on πŸ‹ SOLEADER Manual Citrus Juicer: Premium Stainless Steel Lemon Squeezer with Ergonomic Handle by Sara Gowan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This one won't break. Sturdy and well built

TL;DR: Probably one of the best manual juicers on the market. PROS: β€’ Thick stainless steel β€’ Good construction, welds, no rivets β€’ Good moving press design β€’ Works great CONS: β€’ A very minor issue with the slightly sharp edge of the handle. In fact, I often, most often, have to squeeze a lemon or two or some other citrus fruit. Cleaning is stupid and that's why I always have a hand press in my kitchen drawer. I've had several of these juicers and they all seem pretty much the same. They are made from die-cast aluminum and the only moving part is the handle hinge; Bell or presser foot does not move. All the aluminum castings I've had have broken during use. Push too hard and the handle will break, which is not only frustrating but can be dangerous. Cast aluminum is brittle and if it breaks, the pieces can fly off, creating at least one sharp edge that can cut you. This juicer is made of durable stainless steel. After ordering, when I read that a kitchen utensil is made of stainless steel, I usually understand that it's usually thin, and the fact that it's stainless steel doesn't mean it's durable. Stainless steel is expensive, so many kitchen appliances are made from thin sheet metal. The moment you lift that weight is your first clue that this is a quality product. You'll also notice that the parts are welded together, as any professional tool should be. You'll also notice that the "bell" that presses down on the fruit from the top handle is hinged and able to move. This allows him to position himself to be more efficient and also relieves pressure when squeezing, so the movement helps him reduce the pressure he builds up, although like cast aluminum juicers he could break. when it shrinks. My only minor issue is that the edge of the bottom handle is a bit sharp; not sharp enough to cut, but sharp enough to be uncomfortable when pressed. Note that I say "maybe" is awkward as it's not because of the size of my hand, my palm doesn't hit that area hard. But in some hands that can be a problem.
