Exact match/form/function of my original in my 2004 Avalanche. Now that he has a new fuel pump, the truck starts the first time every time. My old pump was fine but the built in fuel pressure regulator was bad so it took me a few tries to start the truck. I strongly recommend buying a new snap ring. They're under $10 and the old ones get pretty rusty sitting on the Ohio water and salt collection tank. See fig. I did not use any special tools and used a new o-ring. Just pushed down and my dad used a hammer and punch to turn the ring. I couldn't remove the connectors either, so I just twisted the old pump back and forth until the metal broke. The tank is lowered and then you can simply pull the broken metal part out of the plastic pipe.
