I read a number of reviews before purchasing. Yes, repairs are visible, but minor repairs in some places don't bother me. My husband went around cleaning the areas outside of the screens that we wanted to patch. He first did one on a bedroom screen and wasn't thrilled with the look. He used one piece to cover 2 holes so more repair mesh was used. I would do them separately. I made our patio trellis later and only used smaller pieces in places where mosquitoes could get through. He agreed that small spots are less visible. I was very pleased that the plastic backing is easy to remove and the adhesive is very sticky. We chose to put our patches on the outside in case the cats tend to play with them and also because others have said that the inside of the house would look better if the patches were put on the outside.
