Angel is a 2 year old American Eskimo who seems to get in trouble every day. She liked to bark at passers-by and would not obey and stayed on our property when in the yard. I knew nothing about these systems. As a responsible pet owner, I have read the training manual carefully. On the first day she had an improvement. On the third day she became more obedient and barked less. On the 5th day she did not bark even when her beloved boy came into view. I started by giving 2 vibrations before shocking. The shock made her angry and I felt bad, but the improvement was noticeable. Now all I have to do is vibrate twice as a warning and she will run back to me. My experience is that if you don't let your dog wear a collar in heavy rain, your dog may get electrocuted for no reason due to the electric current. You don't really want to shock her. I set the remote control to the correct level, which is enough to correct its behavior. I'm glad it comes with 2 so I can use one for my sister's dog when she comes to visit.
