I love this thing, the best. 4 stars only because this is my second after the first cracked but both had the same lid issue. The lid is not good, it deforms after the first use and does not hold, and the popcorn kernels knock it off. We need to put a small glass weight on it. But the BEST popcorn we've ever had. It has a clay base (after Scandinavian cookware) that gets very hot and stays hot for a few minutes after cooking, which I like because popcorn stays warm for a long time. You'll need to use an oven mitt on your knees or pour into another bowl. I took it to see if it would work like a Chinese wok in the microwave and it does the job well too. Take flavored salt with you and add salt and veggies or butter before adding the seeds. the fourth cup is almost full when it bursts. Tastes like movie popcorn. Flavored salt makes a huge difference in flavor and is fairly cheap on Amazon. We use it almost every night while watching TV. It will probably run dry, which I haven't tried, but it will probably taste better than a hot air popper, which is rarely in the cupboard. Easy to clean.
