Handy product, good to hand as a dietary supplement. And tripe is a great addition to a dog's diet, and New Zealand meat is considered some of the best in the world. My concern is this: The ingredients listed for Green Lamb Tripe are: Green Lamb Tripe and Green Beef Tripe. with green beef tripe: Ingredients: New Zealand lamb tripe, garlic, vegetable gum, menhaden fish oil, glucosamine, chondroitin. Given the controversy surrounding the safety of carrageenan for dogs (and the fact that it's not essential to their diet), I settled on the Green Lamb Tripe formula. I was disappointed and felt cheated when I received my order and accidentally looked at the ingredients and found carrageenan gum on the list. I have a feeling that Tripett decided to overlook upgrading their product description from plant based gum to carrageenan gum. Do not buy this again until the ingredients are just tripe as stated on the front of the jar.
