Review on Allpdesky Decorative Floating Basking Platform by Kevin Miller

UPDATE: We've had it for a week now and the turtles LOVE it. They are often on it, sunbathing. You take off and mount, now slightly jumping over the edge of the ramp. They no longer try to get through the glass, but they are happy to get under the dock and tuck their head between the dock and the glass where they are protected and out of sight. FIRST RATING: I'm glad I took this chance. After reading other reviews I wasn't sure if this would be a good product BUT IT IS YES! I received all the parts and it works great. There were no instructions, but everything is very intuitive. Suction cups hold well on the bottom. Doc floats free. The ramp engages leaving a high lip which I wasn't sure our 2 week old red ear pushers could overcome but they do! The babies didn't use my old dock (homemade). I was concerned they needed a place to rest out of the water. They didn't like that at all during the first hours of their stay in the pool. Then, about 3 hours later, one of my kids yells "turtles on the ramp!". Since then they have been in and out often. And they do it quite well over the lip. YOU LIKE IT, YOU LIKE IT! I'm just glad all the parts were included, it was easy to assemble and it works well. And so glad they are using it! Stupid turtles think they can climb to the other side and then come back down, it just takes them a while to realize they can't squeeze between the glass and the dock. I want it to fit snugly against the glass so they aren't even tempted to try. The only thing I don't like is that turtles like to hide under it. We don't like it out of selfishness, so we filled most of the space with rocks. But if we had a bigger tank (or if we have one), this dock would be too small, and a bigger floating dock wouldn't hide the turtles either.
