Im impressed with these coasters and just wish they came with instructions on how to use different materials to decorate and seal. They're super absorbent and it would be good to know that the bugs can't just be wiped off. The thin cork provided is pre-cut and easily attaches to the back of the stand once it is complete. They are quite heavy and the surface is smooth, making it easy to draw or paint on them. I've completed four so far using a combination of stamp ink and acrylic paint. I plan to spray them with sealer to keep my art intact and prevent staining. Hopefully that doesn't mean moisture is running down the sides and making a mess on my desk.
