I wanted to give these knives a good run in the kitchen before sitting down to review them and now that I've been using them extensively for about a month I have nothing than good words to say, to tell. This set of knives was meant to replace the old one I was using which was worn out and frankly not even close to good. It's night and day how much better these knives are. They are very sharp and you just don't think about it after years of struggling with old dull knives! I cook, chop and slice a lot and it's a lot easier to use the right knives from this set because they cut very smoothly without much effort. The sharpener isn't needed yet, but I'm glad I included it for future use. As far as rusting issues go, I haven't encountered any either, but I do follow the washing instructions and make sure these knives aren't left in the water any longer than necessary, plus I dry them quickly and put them back in the block. . So far so good and I look forward to many happy years with this knife block!
