This item is a toiletry bag that I will use for my makeup. There is a large pouch that I will use for the bigger stuff, and the other bags might be for lipsticks, eyeshadows, and pencils/mascaras. I think these are well-made, and the materials are durable. The zippers work very well. These look nice and do not necessarily have to be for cosmetics. For example, you could tote jewelry in these.I like these black bags because they aren't immediately apparent that they are for cosmetics. When I get pink or other colors of a makeup bag, I might get embarrassed when I bring it out to the car before a trip. I do not care for the "girlie" look.The thing I like the most is that I have never been able to take my eyeshadow palettes on a trip. With this giant bag, I can do so. I often use what is in my cosmetics in a bag rather than in the storage cupboard. If I have eyeshadow in these cases, I will use them more frequently. I am otherwise not good at using the vast array of cosmetics I own.These will wash off well but realize that in the case of some makeup items, you will need a soap that will cut the oily consistency.These are very giftable; however, I would use this as an opportunity to pack some new lipsticks or eyeshadows into the "gift." You could add cotton pads, Q-tip shadow applicators, and makeup towelettes.Have fun with it! Enjoy!
