Durable # for window screen

4 stars because: 1. The metal for the whole bar is nice and strong, and the screws on the brackets hold the bar in place.2. Please don't make the same mistake I did by removing the entire plastic cap from the end and then screwing the ball back on. The metal rod slipped and cut my thumb. I left the second rod plastic, screwed the ball in place and removed the plastic cover.3. It's stained and peeling off. So no, it's not bronze, it's cheaply painted. Overall this is a good rod for hanging eyelet curtains and thin enough for rod curtains. I like the color but a pity it's stained.
