I like to have a glass of ice water on hand at all times and figured this would keep the ice from melting so quickly. After about 10 minutes I noticed that the glass was STUCK to the device. I had to turn it off to separate them. However, I do find that I noticed less condensation on the glass than without the device. However, the presence of ANY condensation on an electrical device is a cause for concern. The included mug is too small to be a practical container for large, all-day drinks like iced water or tea. A normal sized coffee cup, but still quite small. I didn't measure but I think it only holds 1 cup. Most thermoses and many mugs have 2 cups, so you may need to return to the coffee maker more often.
