Review on ⚓ Anchor Engine Mount 2987 by James Prizgint

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My 2005 Buick Terraza has changed a lot

My 2005 Buick Terraza (Lemon Grey) started making a lot of noise and vibrating. I replaced the top supports, it helped but not 100%. Thought the tote bag mount had probably been removed, and (after I removed it) it certainly was. Installation was a little painful, but not bad. Working under the car. Unscrew the top fasteners, remove the right (passenger) wheel and plastic cover. jack and pan) Remove the two 15mm nuts on the underside of the bracket. Remove the three 15mm screws on the side and top of the bracket to unscrew the bracket that the bracket is attached to (I used a small Milwuakee M12 1/4 impact wrench for most of the screws. Great tool. You may need to raise the engine out even higher Get bracket and pry bar Remove crumbly old bracket from bracket, clean oil, fit new bracket Mount bracket to engine problems When I tried to lower the engine it was way out of position, way too far I got a Low profile transmission jack under the sump transmission which helped move it and then allowed me to lower the bracket (with the original jack) into place.I could probably use the second floor jack instead of the jack.If only I had a jack , I'm not entirely sure how I would return the motor to its original position. Bring S ie reattach the nuts, bolts, wheel and anything else you removed. The car and you are ready to go. Between this and the new support bearings there are noises and vibrations like in a new car. Please note that I am not a professional mechanic or an expert. That's how I did the job. Follow my instructions at your own risk.
