I have just ordered a third pair of these water boots for my 7 year old son. Between summer camp and swimming lessons, he swims five days a week! They did a great job protecting his legs; We went through two pairs last summer and outgrew them before they wore out. He can swim in it and has never had any complaints. The only problem is that he has trouble putting them on and taking them off, especially when they are wet. This is probably common with all shoes of this type.
