Item received on November 27, 2015. I've baked several dozen cheesecakes since he arrived. I have to admit that I don't quite understand the purpose of the alternate scratching wings. Four (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) stars because it feels flimsy which is (not yet determined) unfair - I've used it over 30 times and it's reduced my blending time significantly (no scratching required). falls apart at any time due to its low weight. I only wash it by hand in warm soapy water and constantly check its condition. So far no signs of undue stress. I have to admit that he exceeded all my expectations. I understand it's "old school" when they say weight equals durability. . . But time will tell. I promise I will let you know as soon as there is a problem. 😳 Update - 3 years later and (and several hundred made) this is now the only mixing spatula I use. I'm still very careful about how I clean and use the blade, but it shows no signs of wear.
