As written in other reviews the 'cat face' color starts to peel off after a few days of use EVEN with gentle hand washing. I bought this stainless steel one (used for water) and the blue "eco-friendly" plastic/non-plastic one (used for food) from the same company. Peeling paint aside, I think these are pretty good bowls for the price. Good starter bowls for my adult cat too. They are heavy/strong enough for my burly, messy eater and big enough to hold the amount he needs to eat at each feeding. Also deep enough to hold its water. Eventually I soaked/wiped off the paint and went back to using stainless steel for its water after rushing to the store and buying a cheap makeshift one. It's in the bowl like it's blue (it's under the surface, the paint doesn't peel off), I'd give it 5 stars. Only 2 stars due to fear of "my cat swallowed this paint" and the hassle of removing the paint.
