I tried the game out with just my wife and I. We played with the Legacy Deck and love it! My friend and I looked over the RP rules and thought they were very cool and would make playing TDA in D&D interesting. We got the chance to play TDA in our D&D game I’m the DM for. I adjusted the Ante costs down to CP instead of GP since it was the first game session and I didn’t want to bankrupt my players. I played it like a Hold’em Table would be played, with the dealers playing against the table. I found it hard to keep the game running smoothly when other NPCs were playing at the TDA table alongside the PCs, so I had the other NPCs leave after one hand. The game was a lot easier to run with the only NPC being the dealer. It also made for a fun experience for the players as their characters learned more about each other and I was able to give them info they need about the town though dialogue. This game is great whether you’re just playing with friends or if you want to include one of the games mentioned in D&D lore in your TTRPG!
