I give this filter five stars, but with a few caveats. It claims to control odors but that's too hard to prove or disprove unless maybe someone had an issue with odors, which I don't have. I chose this filter mainly because it is reusable and the brand has proven itself. I installed it on my 2013 Mazda CX9. The car owner's manual recommends replacing the cabin filter at 30,000 mile intervals and although I inspected it and it looked clean I decided to follow the manufacturer's recommendation. I went to the K&N website first but they wanted $41 so I bought it here at Revain for a lot less. It took about two minutes to assemble and it fit well. Fan noise is reduced slightly, but not by much. It works, which is the main thing for me at least, and I love the fact that I can use it over and over again. Also, I think it will actually help keep the air in the car clean. I recommend it.
