I have a love/hate relationship with this product. The smell is part of the hate. It's very strong and I don't like the smell although others might like it. The best way to describe it is mint? But I use a deep conditioner with a good smell and it takes the smell away. I'm struggling with a dry scalp and nothing seems to help. It definitely helped me a bit. But the main reason we bought it is because my daughter came home from school with lice. We treated her and the house, but she kept coming back. It was the last straw when I found it in my own hair. From then on we looked at different things. I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars to get rid of this pest and nothing has worked. I ordered this in the hope that after one more treatment it would help us on the box and with that alone I haven't seen lice in months. Finally! If you have school kids I would buy this to make sure they don't bring lice home!
