It cools a VERY small area in front of it decently well, but there are a few design flaws that really hamper its usability. Below is the water tank. It's hard to tell how much is inside, even with the transparent part on the side. It's easy to overfill and then the water will flow everywhere. You have to add ice if you want decent cooling, but you have to remove the filter every time. The filter sits in the water. With ice, the filter does not sink, so it gets stuck.
