When I started disassembling one of my old Intel machines I knew I was going to have some problems with my Seagate Nytro U.2 drive. You see, my old motherboard had multiple SATA Express connectors and I used a U.2 drive patch cord. On the other hand, my newer X570 motherboard had 3 M.2 NVMe slots but no SATA Express. Hm. I was considering my options. M.2 to U.2 adapter + cable (fu), the PCIe card you mount the U.2 drive to (better), and finally the DiLiVing PCI-E 3.0 X4 to SFF-8639 -Cable. PCI adapter. You can control this adapter with a cable, but since the cable isn't detachable, you may be somewhat limited as to what you can run the cable through. There is braided cable, but only on part of the data cable. The SATA power cable is not unwound and looks bad. I hope you can get this behind your motherboard tray like I did. After connecting everything worked as it should. The only problem really is that nothing is holding the PCB except friction from the connection. If you don't move your suitcase, it will probably stay there forever, but there's nothing stopping it from falling out of its nest. recommended
