I'm tired of being surrounded by uncrushed cans and slowly crushing them with my hands. The hand grinder I have only works with regular 12 ounce cans, so I needed something different. I was looking at some of the more versatile pneumatic can crushers and stumbled across this one. I wanted my kids to be able to use it unsupervised and this one looked perfect due to the safety glass. I was a bit hesitant due to the low price and lack of reviews but went and bought it. I just installed it today. You will need a 5mm ID, 8mm OD hose for the pressure connection that comes with the crusher. On the other end I attached a 1/4" NPT male to a 1/4" MIP female. I wanted to use a 3/16" fitting but didn't think it was tight enough so I went with a 1/4" fitting. You really have to force them into the pipe, so be careful. I then hooked up my compressor and was ready to crush. Installation was fairly easy and came with step-by-step instructions. The only negative I would like to say is that the exhaust pipe that was already installed had a small leak, but that's no big deal. Using the mill was incredibly enjoyable. I shredded 30 lb cans in about 30 minutes. Usually it takes me 2 hours. From time to time a crushed can doesn't end up in my bin, but as a previous reviewer said, I plan to add a deflector shield to prevent that. I like the idea of an auto air vent that allows you to mount it vertically. All things considered, this thing costs $110 and I would highly recommend it to anyone with an air compressor. I have an 8 gallon Husky supercharger and that's more than enough. I'll update my video review and talk about durability over time as I get more use. Edit*** I brought the crack in the fitting to the attention of the seller and he immediately sent a replacement. I received and installed them in 2 days, now the small leak is fixed.
