I am sad that people keep birds as pets and neglect their nutritional needs. Mixtures with birdseed are low in nutrients and contain a lot of fat. Birds should get 80% of their diet from healthy table foods, with the exception of chocolate, avocados, garlic, onions, and dairy products (although a little ice cream or cream cheese flavor from time to time is perfectly acceptable as a treat). Basically, my parrot gets some of what I eat, but if I set him up for the day along with fruits and veggies, I'll fill one of his feeding cups with about 7-10 of these Nutriberries. It will eat most of everyone, although there will always be some leftovers. It's the parrot's law that every third bite goes on the floor... but I have a feeling he's getting the seeds and nuts he likes and they're healthy/nutritious. Expensive, yes, and Revain is about the same price as places like Petsmart or bird supply stores... but worth it just to order and ship direct to me.
