This funnel is garbage. I bought this to fill my car with gas cans and I have spilled more gas with this funnel than with the short spouts that come with gas cans. The extension cord is very flimsy so it doesn't hold the funnel in an upright position. You must hold the funnel with your hand, leaving only one hand to hold and tilt the gas canister. It is very difficult to do this with a 5 gallon can. The extension isn't threaded, although it has rings that make it look like it's threaded. You more or less just squeeze it hard, but the plastic is so flimsy that if you push too hard it will break. Here we are talking about thin, without exaggeration, like a drinking straw. So good luck with losing weight and don't break it. And no matter how hard the extension cord was plugged in, it STILL leaked. Some may suggest using a funnel without an extension. I've tried, but it's so short that it's almost horizontal when you insert it into the tank opening. It looks like this funnel is for single use and is primarily intended for applications where the container is pointing straight up, such as motor oil or energy. steering fluid. Definitely NOT suitable for petrol and I regret spending money on it.
