I have ordered three of these over the past few years, all as gifts for young professionals. Everyone I gave the gift to liked the item and displayed it in the common room. For the price, double lenses and stones are nice additions too. If you feel you need more, I think you can order the glasses separately. The seal is good, but I wouldn't recommend using it for high-end alcohol unless you're going to be drinking it that night (like a show). With high-end alcohol, your biggest concern is evaporation, which even high-end decanters suffer from, so it's not unique to this item. I would also recommend using dark alcohol to showcase the engraving, about half full, it highlights both the ship and globe nicely. I can't say much about the durability as I only gave it as a gift, but I didn't notice any wear and tear on my friends, whom I also gave as gifts. As with all engraved items, hand wash only. Don't ruin something so beautiful because you want to use the dishwasher!
