Review on ATP Y 615 Accelerator Cable by Mike Weaver

Revainrating 1 out of 5

1990's Blazer S10 4.3 throttle cable

Poor quality control from the manufacturer. The plastic holders / throttle body holders are not suitable. The position of the cable holder on the motor mount is about 1/2" to 3/8" less after attaching to the throttle linkage, resulting in throttle opening (high idle!). Due to a lack of time, I decided to continue using the existing cable assembly after a small renovation. I removed the worn, brittle, damaged jacket on the cable end (TV end) and then cleaned and lubricated the existing factory cable assembly. You should have done that first. Work like a champion. The ATP Y-615 throttle cable is useless, a waste of money and time for a 90's 4.3 S-10 Blazer. Advice to potential buyers, don't save. Contact your GM dealer with your VIN for proper throttle cable installation. I think ATP manufacturers get confused between SAE and metric sizes.

Cons
  • I don't remember but something was
