Fan/fan works perfectly - just like an OEM fan that shuts off after 200,000 miles. The only problem is that my '97TJ has a wire harness that needs to be connected to the OEM fan wire connector. Like the unit I originally purchased from O'Reilleys, this one has NO CORD - it has an outlet. I had to return it, but the infrequent rains in Cali forced me to get the deicer working as soon as possible. So I made a wire by cutting an old wire from an old stock fan and plugging it into the car's wiring harness. I then crimped the female shoulder blades to match the rosette shoulder blades. To make sure I got the correct polarity I applied power and made it rotate forward. Then. I swamped the RTV socket, trying not to get at the motor windings. The operation was successful, the blower works properly and seals well after a severe blockage.
