I specifically purchased this item as an OEM item so I would have NO problems. It was a constant problem. When searching the iRobot website for this item, most users seem to come across it as well. First, the size of the item is different from the original. It's a bit shorter but seems to fit my i960. It was apparently the least of my worries. We always clean the trash can contacts thoroughly on reset, but no matter how well cleaned, this piece of junk continues to cause Bin Error crashes and halt the device in its path wherever it is placed. Unlock, clean again, repeat. We never had this problem on the original device, even if you didn't clean up while you worked, instead ending up with a couple of trash cans afterwards. This one, no matter how you clean it, doesn't help. Dude, I want to keep the original. I would put a piece of tape on the broken latch we all come across just to make it work reliably. I suspect I'll have to try a replacement from a different brand rather than an iRobot item to find something that actually works reliably. How crazy is THAT?!?
